Le bel," T. and Bastin, G., 1985. Variogram identification by the mean-squared interpolation error method with application to hydrologic fields. J. Hydro!., 77: 31-56 . . A systematic presentation of the ·~rrre·a~ ;:~~d)interpolation error'' (MSIE) method for variogram identification is given,E;Jihe-presentation involves a theoretical analysis of the MSIE method under the (realistic) assumption that the parametric variogram model is only an approximation of the true-field variogram. The application of the MSIE method to the identification of variogram models for a piezometric field and a rainfall field is described in some detail.

Application of multivariate statistics and geostatistical techniques to identify the spatial variability of heavy metals in groundwater resources
The performance of geostatistical and spatial interpolation techniques for estimation of spatial variability of heavy metals and water quality mapping of groundwater resources in Ramiyan district (Golestan province- Iran) were investigated. 24 spring/well water samples were collected and the concentration of heavy metals (Ni, Co, Pb, Cd and Cu) was determined using Differential Pulse Polarograp...

متن کاملOptimal Interpolation and the Appropriateness of Cross-Validating Variogram in Spatial Generalized Linear Mixed Models
In this work, we consider some computational issues related to the minimum mean-squared error (MMSE) prediction of non-Gaussian variables under a spatial generalized linear mixed model (GLMM). This model has been used to model spatial non-Gaussian variables by Diggle et al. (1998) and Zhang (2002), under which MMSE prediction of non-Gaussian variables can be computed. Since the MMSE prediction ...

متن کاملDetermining suitable model for zoning drinking water distribution network based on corrosion potential in Sanandaj City, Iran
Corrosion in general is a complex interaction between water and metal surfaces and materials in which the water is stored or transported. Water quality monitoring in terms of corrosion and scaling is crucial, and a key element of preventive maintenance, given the economic and health hurts caused by corrosion and scaling in water utilities. The aim of this study is to determine the best model fo...
